This will be a landmark day for the Adair Club and Somerset Light Blues, as Adair becomes the first Light Blue club to hold its AGM at Grand Lodge.
A record 100 members are expected to attend, making Somerset the biggest province, highlighting the continued growth and enthusiasm within the Club.
With the support of RW Bro Raymond Guthrie, Provincial Grand Master, and W Bro Barrie S Palmer, Assistant Provincial Grand Master, it promises to be a truly memorable occasion and a defining moment in The Adair Club’s development.
We will also be revealing and launching the Adair Light Blues tie (see below). Arrival time at Grand Lodge 10.00-10.30.

Welcome & Opening Statement (2 mins)
To warmly welcome all Brethren and thank them for being part of this day
To extend a warm welcome to RW Bro Raymond Guthrie, Provincial Grand Master, and W Bro Barrie S Palmer, Assistant Provincial Grand Master
(Both are in London for this event.)
Include thanks and a summary of the year’s achievements.
Re-election/election of Chairman & appointment of officers* (2 mins)
The current Chairman (Bro Tom Beasley) and all current committee members have indicated their willingness to remain in post to maintain the current strategy/momentum and ensuring continuity for the club, and, subject to the AGM, will be re-elected/re-appointed.
Launch of Adair Light Blue Tie (2 mins)
Launch and distribution of the Adair Light Blues tie to all Light Blues in attendance
Including presentation to RW Bro Raymond Guthrie and W Bro Barrie S Palmer.
Light Blue Takeover Announcement (2 mins)
Announcement of a Light Blue lodge takeover in Central Somerset on 5th September 2026
Light Blues from across the Province filling all offices, performing all ritual, and initiating a live candidate.
With registration of interest invited.
Presentation of Working Tools Badges (2 mins)
RW Bro Raymond Guthrie, Provincial Grand Master, to present Working Tools Badges.
To be carried out after the meeting in the Grand Temple if time is not permitted.
Any Other Business
Close and head to the Grand Temple 11.30
For the remainder of the day:
Light Blues communication opens at 12.00
Lunch at 13.00
Decant to a London pub at 15.00
Leave London 20.30
Return to Somerset ~22.00
Notes on Appointments
All current office holders (including Secretary, Membership Secretary, Area Reps, Shoot Rep and Treasurer) have indicated their willingness to remain in post for the ensuing year.
In the absence of additional nominations, the current officers will continue in their roles for a further year.

*Constitutional Requirements – Nominations
At the same time as giving notice of the Annual General Meeting under section 25(1) above, the Secretary shall invite nominations for the office of Chairman. Nominations must be received no later than five days after the date of the notice of the meeting (that being 9th April 2026).
To be nominated a member must be proposed and seconded by two other members. No member may be nominated without his consent.
If by the deadline for receipt of nominations only one member has been nominated the Annual General Meeting shall declare that member elected unopposed. If more than one member is nominated a ballot shall be held.
No member shall be eligible to be elected to the office of Chairman for more than two consecutive terms.
